• Responds to the dinning needs of the residents nd guests while maintaining Goshen hospitality and service standards.
• Invite, Encourage, Assist (IEA) residents in life skills and other life enriching activities as indicated on ISP and profile.

• Positive attitude, the flexibility to perform carious duties in service to the residents and the ability to work in a team environment are keys to success.
• High school diploma/GED accepted and may be required per state regulations.
• In states where appropriate, must maintain certifications.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
• Ability to make choices, decissions and act in the resident's best interest.
• Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and a level of understanding.
• Competent in organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrate good judgement, problem solving and decision making skills.

-Administer oral, topical, and other approved medications as ordered by the attending physician and under supervision of licensed nursing personnel.

-Verify medication orders, ensure proper labeling, storage, and documentation according to Kansas regulations and Goshen Home Care policies.

-Observe clients for changes in condition, adverse reactions, or medication side effects; report immediately to supervising nurse.

-Maintain accurate, timely documentation of medication administration, client interactions, observations, and unusual occurrences.

-Protect client privacy, maintain confidentiality, and treat clients and families with dignity and respect.

-Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, mobility, meals, and basic housekeeping as needed.

-Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures.

-Participate in care coordination with nurses, caregivers, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

-Support Goshen Home Care’s mission by providing compassionate, reliable, and client centered care.

-Required: Active Kansas Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) and Certified Medication Aide (CMA) credentials.

-Required: Ability to read, write, communicate clearly, and follow written and verbal instructions.

-Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent.

-Required: CPR certification (Kansas recognized program).

-Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs repetitively and perform frequent bending, stooping, walking, and transferring assistance.

-Valid driver’s license if operating a motor vehicle for client visits.

-Must pass required background checks and drug testing per Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS).

This role involves providing care in client homes across the Goshen Home Care service area. CMAs may encounter clients with varying levels of mobility, cognitive ability, and medical needs. Physical activity, including lifting, walking, and assisting with transfers, is required.
